
May 8, 2008 PULLMAN, Wash. - - The 2008 Washington State University Athletic Foundation Golf Tournament tour continues with the Washington Trust Bank Devlin Cougar Golf Classic and Banquet, May 15, at the Coeur d'Alene Resort, and the Bank of Whitman Palouse Golf Classic, May 16, at the Clarkston Country Club. Coaches and staff from the WSU Athletic Department will be in attendance at each event. Among the staff scheduled to appear at the Devlin and Palouse events are Director of Athletics Jim Sterk, Football Head Coach Paul Wulff, and Women's Basketball Head Coach June Daugherty. Men's Basketball Head Coach Tony Bennett will be in attendance at the Devlin tournament only. Golf begins with a noon shotgun start for each event, with a dinner and auction to follow. All proceeds benefit the Washington State Student-Athlete Scholarship Fund. The Devlin and Palouse events continue the 2008 Athletic Foundation spring and summer golf tournament schedule, which began with the Broadmoor RV Tri-Cities Memorial Cougar Golf Classic, April 19. The next tournament scheduled is the Sterling Savings Bank King County Cougar Golf Classic, May 30. Tournaments continue across the state throughout the month of June.
