Baseball
The WSU baseball team won the first (10-3) and second (11-4) games against two-time defending champions No. 23 Oregon State but lost the third 19-9 over the weekend. The Cougars are 24-20 overall and 5-10 in the Pacific-10 Conference.

Matt Way and Jayson Miller picked up the pitching wins in the first and second games.
Michael Weber posted a grand slam in the second game and had a total of 10 RBI in the three-game series.
Jim Murphy's two-run double raised his season RBI total to a career-high 48.

Men's Golf
Kevin Tucker led the Cougars at the Pac-10 Championships with a four-round 291 total to place 23rd.

Rowing
The WSU rowing team hosted Oregon State and beat the Beavers 67-66 to win the Winchell Cup.

Track and Field
The WSU track and field teams hosted Washington. Both the Cougar men and women swept the Huskies. The women won 116-47 and the men won 93-70.

Jeshua Anderson won the men's 110m hurdles, the 400m hurdles, ran the third leg on the winning 4x100m relay and anchored the 4x400m relay to victory.
Princess Joy Griffey won the women's 100m and 200m dashes and anchored the winning 4x100m relay.
Jon Jeffreys won the men's javelin with an improved NCAA RQ distance.
