
June 4, 2008 PULLMAN, Wash. - The 2008 Washington State University Athletic Foundation golf tour continues with four events at various cities across the state during the next week. Vancouver will play host to the Sterling Savings Bank Columbia River Cougar Club Dinner & Auction, Friday, June 6. Social hour begins at 5:30 p.m. with the dinner program at 6:45 p.m. Football Head Coach Paul Wulff and Men's Basketball Head Coach Tony Bennett will be in attendance. A day later, the Merrill Lynch Cougar Celebrity Golf Classic at Cedars Golf Club on Salmon Creek in Vancouver will take place with a noon shotgun start. Registration begins at 10 a.m. After the Vancouver events, the tour moves to the central part of the state with the Banner Bank Wenatchee Valley Cougar Golf Classic, Monday, June 9. Golf begins with a 1 p.m. shotgun start, with a dinner and auction to follow. The next day, the Northwest Dodge Dealers Moses Lake Cougar Golf Classic takes place with a noon shotgun start, with a dinner and auction afterward. Coaches and staff from the WSU Athletic Department will be in attendance at all three golf events. All proceeds benefit the Washington State University Student-Athlete Scholarship Fund.
