
June 11, 2008 PULLMAN, Wash. - The 2008 Washington State University Athletic Foundation spring golf tour concludes with several events this weekend and into the next week. The Tri-Cities will serve as host for the 11th annual Cougar Tailgate at the TRAC Pavilion (660 Burden Blvd., Pasco), Friday, June 13 at 6 p.m. The event is sold out. Scheduled to appear are Paul Wulff, Tony Bennett, June Daugherty and additional WSU coaches and staff including Andrew Palileo, Donnie Marbut, Lisa Hart and Jane LaRiviere. The following day, the tour moves up I-82 to Yakima for the Yakima Valley Cougar Golf Classic at the picturesque Apple Tree Golf Course. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. with a 1 p.m. shotgun start. A dinner and auction will follow. After Yakima, the tour moves west for the Sterling Savings Bank Pierce County Cougar Golf Classic at the Tacoma Country & Golf Club, Monday, June 16. Golf begins with a 12:45 p.m. shotgun start, with a dinner and auction to follow. The tour concludes the next day with the Banner Bank Whatcom County Cougar Golf Classic at the Shuksan Golf Club in Bellingham. Golf begins with noon shotgun start and a dinner and auction will follow. Coaches and staff from the WSU Athletic Department will be in attendance at all golf events. All proceeds benefit the Washington State University Student-Athlete Scholarship Fund.
