Football
The Washington State football team traveled for the second straight week and suffered a 48-20 loss at the hand of Arizona.

  • Alex Brink overtook the top spot in the record books for completions and attempts. Brink now has 1,145 attempts in his career after throwing 35 of 56 against the Wildcats.
  • Brandon Gibson reeled in 11 passes for 127 yards. It was his fifth 100-yard game of his career.
  • Jed Collins also reached double figures with 10 receptions and 89 yards. Both were career highs.

Soccer
The WSU soccer squad came out of the weekend with a 3-0 shutout victory over UC Santa Barbara Friday and played Idaho State to a 1-1 tie Sunday. The Cougars stand at 6-1-2 on the season.

  • Carly Dobratz scored two goals against the Gauchos and Mallory Fox scored a team-leading fourth goal.
  • Kiersten Dallstream punched in the tying goal against the Bengals
  • The soccer team is ranked No. 18 by Soccer America and No. 23 by Soccer Buzz.

Volleyball
After being on the road for several weeks, the WSU volleyball team hosted No. 8 Washington Friday evening. The Huskies remained undefeated with a 30-22, 30-18, 30-24 win. The Cougars are 9-8 overall and 0-3 in conference play.

  • Tara West put down a team-high 10 kills.
  • The largest crowd since 2003 was in attendance with 1,690 fans present.
  • Cassie Robbins recorded five blocks.

Cross Country
The WSU cross country teams traveled to the Midwest to compete in the Roy Griak Invitational. The men's team placed seventh out of 23 teams with 185 points and the women placed eighth of 26 teams with 213 points.

  • Andrew Jones and Alex Grant paced the men, placing 13th and 16th, respectively.
  • The WSU men's team score placed them ahead of No. 23-ranked Michigan State.
  • Sara Trane finished 22nd and Meghan Leonard placed 32nd.

Women's Tennis
Ekaterina Burduli lost a 6-0, 6-3 decision to Duke's Tory Zawacki at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-American Championship. Burduli is now out of the competition.
