Washington State Baseball Alumni Weekend Set

PULLMAN, Wash. - The Washington State University baseball team will hold its annual alumni weekend Sept. 26-27, Cougar Head Coach Donnie Marbut announced, Friday.

The festivities begin Friday, Sept. 26 with a golf tournament at Palouse Ridge Golf Club. Registration begins at 1 p.m. with a shotgun start slated for 2 p.m.

The 2009 Cougar Baseball team will have a scrimmage at 8 p.m. followed by an alumni, family and friends barbecue. Both activities will be held at Bailey-Brayton Field.

The Cougar Alumni Baseball Game takes place Saturday, Sept. 27 at 9 a.m. Members of the WSU alumni will take on the 2008 Cougar baseball team, also known as "Rookies." Alumni registration begins at 8 a.m.

Following the Alumni Game, there will be a tailgate with Cougar Baseball at noon. The football team takes on Oregon at Martin Stadium with kickoff scheduled for 3:15 p.m.

There will also be a social, alumni banquet and auction. There will be a meet and greet with the 2008 Cougar team, 2007 team awards, as well as live and silent auctions. Time is to be announced.
