Washington State Baseball Schedules Alumni Weekend

PULLMAN, Wash. - The Washington State University baseball team will hold its annual alumni weekend Oct. 5-7, Cougar Head Coach Donnie Marbut announced, Friday.

The festivities begin Friday, Oct. 5 with the Crimson vs. Gray scrimmage at 5 p.m. followed by an alumni, family and friends barbecue. Both activities will be held at Bailey-Brayton Field.

The Cougar Alumni Game takes place Saturday, Oct. 6 at 10 a.m. Members of the WSU alumni will take on the 2008 Cougar baseball team, also known as "Rookies." Alumni registration and batting practice is scheduled from 8:30-9:40 a.m. and pregame ceremonies begin at 9:45 a.m.

Attention shifts to Martin Stadium at 2 p.m. when the Cougar football hosts Arizona State. At 5:30 p.m., there is a social followed by a 6:30 p.m. alumni banquet and auction. There will be a meet and greet with the 2008 Cougar team, 2007 team awards, as well as live and silent auctions.

The weekend concludes with a golf tournament at the University of Idaho course Sunday, Oct. 7. Registration begins at 8 a.m. and a shot-gun start is slated for 9 a.m.
