History was made in the 2007-08 season when the men's basketball team reached the NCAA Tournament for the second straight year, marking the first time that the Cougars reached the NCAA Tournament in consecutive seasons. In addition, WSU advanced to the Sweet 16 for the first time in program history.

As the team reached the tournament for two straight years, they also placed three student-athletes on the Pac-10 All-Academic First Team in consecutive years, the first time that has happened in school history. Robbie Cowgill became a three-time Pacific-10 Conference All-Academic first team selection becoming the second WSU men's basketball student-athlete to accomplish the feat (Carlos Daniel, 1996-98). Additionally, Cowgill was named the Pac-10 Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

This was the 14th installment of the Cougar Chats series. To view transcripts from previous chats please click HERE
