Nine Former Cougars on Arena Football League Rosters

Pullman, Wash. - With the opening weekend of the Arena Football League approaching Friday, Feb. 29-March 3, nine former WSU football players currently find themselves on AFL rosters.
Among those who played at WSU is wide receiver Chris Jackson of the Philadelphia Soul. Jackson was named to the 2007 All-Arena First Team.
Offensive lineman Calvin Armstrong and wide receiver Trandon Harvey each play for the Arizona Rattlers. Harvey led the Rattlers with a team-high 1,412 receiving yards. He also had 102 catches and 30 touchdowns and was named to the 2007 All-Rookie team.
Other former players on preseason AFL rosters include Alex Teems (Cleveland), Joey Hollenbeck (Colorado), Chris Martin (Grand Rapids), Patrick Afif (San Jose),Nick Mihlhauser (San Jose) and quarterback Jason Gesser (Utah).
