WSU-Idaho Football Game Picked By FSN Northwest for Live TV

July 27, 2007

PULLMAN, Wash.- Washington State University and FSN Northwest announced today an agreement has been reached to televise the Cougars' Sept. 15 football game with Idaho, WSU Director of Athletics Jim Sterk said Friday. Game time for the Idaho contest has been set for 7 p.m.

"Having the Idaho game broadcast live throughout the Northwest is another opportunity to showcase our football program to fans and alumni throughout the region," Sterk said. "It is another indication that interest in Washington State football remains high, especially in combination with our previously announced television schedule."

Four other Cougar football games have already been selected for live national or regional television, including the Cougars' season-opener at Wisconsin, Sept. 1, televised by ABC with a 12:30 p.m. Pacific kickoff. The network will also televise the Cougar game at USC set for a 5 p.m. telecast, Sept. 22.

The television schedule also includes two games televised by FSN, the first being WSU's Oct. 27 game with UCLA. Kickoff will be 3:30 p.m. from Martin Stadium. Additionally, FSN will televise WSU's game at California, Nov. 3, with kickoff set for 7 p.m.

Both ABC and FSN can select additional games during the course of the 2007 season, with selections made six or 12 days in advance of the games.

Season tickets along with tickets for the Sept. 8 game versus San Diego State at Qwest Field are currently on sale. Tickets are available online at www.wsucougars.com, by phone at 1-800-GO-COUGS, or through all Ticketmaster outlets.
