Tucker Named Pac-10 Men's Golfer of the Month

Nov. 6, 2008

PULLMAN, Wash.- Washington State men's golf junior Kevin Tucker has been named Pacific-10 Conference Golfer of the Month for October.

Tucker, a junior from Kennewick, Wash., posted the first tournament victory of his collegiate career by winning the Desert Intercollegiate in Palm Desert, Calif. Tucker shot 70-71-72--213 to finish three under par for the tournament. He was one of only three players to shoot under par for the tournament and the only player in the field to finish the tournament without a round over par.

Tucker also posted top 20 finishes in the Sycuan Invitational and Wimberly Intercollegiate tournaments.

The Cougars completed their fall season last week. First spring tournament is in March at the Argonaut Invitational.
