WSU Men's Golf Signs Frame Player to National Letter of Intent

Dec. 3, 2008

PULLMAN, Wash. - Washington State University men's golf Head Coach Walt Williams announced the signing of Hank Frame to a National Letter of Intent.

Hank Frame, of Spokane, Wash., is a four-year varsity letterwinner from University High School, who will join the Cougar squad next season. Frame has been named captain each year under head coach Joe Turman.

As a freshman, Frame was the Inland Empire Champion and Idaho Junior Golf State Champion. He placed third at the Washington Junior Golf Association State Tournament and 19th in the 4A state tournament.

Frame continued the success during his sophomore and junior years. His sophomore year he was named the player of the year for the Greater Spokane League, placed 11th at the 4A state tournament and finished fourth at the Idaho Junior State Tournament.

"I have seen Hank play for nearly six years and he has been at the top of the leader board every time, I've watched" said Williams. "Frame is a great student and comes from a great family. We are really proud of signing him!"

As a junior, the Spokane, Wash., native had the second-lowest scoring average in the Greater Spokane league, was the WJGA State Champion and placed 15th at the 4A state tournament. In each of the last two years, Frame was named the WJGA District Champion.
