Former Cougar Standout Finished T32 at PGA Tour Qualifier

Dec. 12, 2008

Pullman, Wash. - Former WSU men's golfer Dustin White finished in a tie for 32nd place at the PGA Tour Qualifying Tournament , held at the par-72, 6,546 yards PGA West Nicklaus Course in La Quinta, Calif. earlier this month.

White posted an even par (72) in the first round, followed by a 4-under 68 and a 2-under 70. In the next two rounds the Colorado native shot a 3-under 69 in both the fourth and fifth rounds.

White posted his best score of the tournament in the sixth and final round with a 5-under 67. White was in 20th place with two holes to go during the final round of play. He finished with 75 pars and 24 birdies and in the top 85, granting him fully exempt nationwide tour status in 2009.

White is the only Cougar in history to have 17 top-10 career finishes and the second player to have 27 top-25 career finishes. He was the only three-time All Pacific-10 Conference honoree in men's Cougar golf history.
