WOMEN'S GOLF: Cougars Headed For Sixth Straight Golf Regional

WSU QUALIFIES FOR NCAA WEST REGIONAL: The Washington State women's golf team will be making its sixth straight appearance at the NCAA West Regional and its seventh in eight years when play opens May 10 at the Entrada at Snow Canyon Country Club. The top eight teams are expected to qualify for the NCAA Championships.
WSU HISTORY AT REGIONALS: WSU's best finish at the NCAA West Regional over the last six years was in 2002 when the Cougars tied for sixth...in 2003 WSU finished seventh and qualified for the NCAA Championships...a year later the 2004 Cougar squad tied for eighth, while in 2005 WSU was tied for 11th...last year the Cougars finished tied for 18th...individually WSU's best finish was by Kim Welch, who tied for second in 2003.
WSU ENTRANTS: The Cougars will compete with juniors Tracy Broders (77.8 scoring average and four Top 25 finishes this year) and Brooke Henderson (77.8 scoring average, four Top 25 finishes), sophomores Jessica Black (78.5 scoring average, four Top 25 finishes) and Amy Eneroth (team leading 74.7 scoring average, nine Top 25 finishes, six Top 10 finishes, one title), and freshman Diana Hong (77.7 scoring average, six Top 25 finishes and one title)...Broders is competing in her third regional, while Black and Eneroth were also on last year's team...Eneroth finished tied for 40th as a freshman.
