Women's Golf Travels to Ptarmigan Invitational
Sept. 5, 2008 What's Happening This Week: The Washington State women's golf team will travel to Fort Collins, Colo., this week to compete in the Ptarmigan Ram Fall Classic...the tournament will be held at the par-72, 6,207-yard Ptarmigan Country Club...the event will begin with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m., Monday, Sept. 8...36 holes will be played on the first day, followed by the final 18 holes Tuesday, Sept. 9. The Field: The 19-team field will include Baylor, BYU, California, Campbell, Colorado, Colorado State, Fresno State, Idaho, Long Beach State, Louisville, Montana State, New Mexico State, Northern Colorado, San Jose State, San Francisco, Texas Tech, UTEP, Washington State and Wyoming. Traveling For WSU: Freshmen Andrea Rosete and Lauren Howell, sophomore Allison Travis and seniors Jessica Black and Amy Eneroth will compete for the Cougars...last season Eneroth led the team with a 74.69 scoring average, ending the season with five top 10 finishes and earning All-Pacific-10 conference honorable mention...during 2007-08 Black was second on the team in scoring, averaging 76.84 strokes-per-round...she finished with two top 10 and six top 25 finishes.
