United States Soccer Defeats Argentina at Women's Under-20 World Cup

CHILLAN, Chile - The United States posted a 3-0 victory over Argentina at the Under-20 Women's World Cup, Saturday.

Washington State junior forward Kiersten Dallstream is a member of the American team competing at the tournament.

Becky Edwards tallied the game-winning goal in the 11th minute for the United States. Alex Morgan added goals in the 53rd and 90th minutes to put the match away.

With the victory, the United States improved to 2-0-0 in group play and coupled with France's 2-0 victory over China, clinched the top spot in Group B.

The Americans will play China in Temuco, Chile at 11 a.m. Pacific, Wednesday to conclude group play before taking on England, New Zealand or Nigera in a quarterfinal match back in Chillan, Nov. 30.
