Play Tennis with a Cougar Set for September 5

PULLMAN, Wash. - The Washington State women's tennis team is hosting the "Play Tennis With a Cougar" outing Sept. 5, at the WSU Outdoor Tennis Center. Participants of all ages and skill levels can join the women's tennis team on the court for an evening of fun activities, followed by a dinner social and silent auction. If you are not able to participate in the tennis, Cougar tennis fans can attend just the dinner social only.

The evening includes various tennis events, including a fast serve contest, target contest, a private lesson from one of the Cougar tennis players, along with points with and against current members of the Washington State tennis team. Various WSU memorabilia, including tennis rackets, tennis racket bags, travel bags, framed posters, Cougar logo tennis balls, T-shirts, sweatshirts, football tickets, signed footballs, basketball tickets, autographed Cougar basketballs and more will be included. The silent auction will includes packages for golf, rafting, Cougar men's basketball, football and tennis.

Cost for tennis and dinner social is $30 per person or $50 per couple. Price for the dinner social alone is $25 per person or $40 per couple. Tennis begins at 5:30 p.m. and the dinner social/auction is scheduled for 7 p.m.

"We encourage everyone to come out for a great event! It is a unique opportunity to compete with and against our players and support Cougar athletics!" says Coach Lisa Hart.
