Driving Directions to the Campus by Automobile

From Seattle
  • Travel east on Interstate-90 over Snoqualmie Pass to Vantage.
  • Cross the bridge over the Columbia River and take exit #137 to Highway 26.
  • Take highway 26 approx. 130 miles to Colfax.
  • At Colfax, turn right onto Main St. (highway 195).
  • Continue on highway 195 to Pullman.
  • Turn left at signs to Pullman, and then right on Davis Way (highway 270).
  • Follow Davis Way until it intersects with N. Grand Ave. in downtown Pullman.

From Tacoma
  • Travel northeast on Highway 18 until it intersects Interstate 90.
  • Take I-90 east over Snoqualmie Pass to Vantage.
  • Cross the bridge over the Columbia River and take exit #137 to Highway 26.
  • Take highway 26 approx. 130 miles to Colfax.

  • Take highway 395 north through Kennewick; cross bridge to Pasco.
  • Proceed west through Pasco on Interstate 182.
  • Turn left onto highway 395 at the intersection of I 182, highway 12, and 395.
  • Take 395 north to Connell.
  • Turn right on highway 260 at Connell and proceed to Washtucna.
  • At Washtucna, turn right on highway 26 and continue to Colfax.
  • At Colfax, turn right onto Main St. (highway 195).
  • Continue on highway 195 to Pullman.
  • Turn left at signs to Pullman, and then right on Davis Way (highway 270).
  • Follow Davis Way until it intersects with N. Grand Ave. in downtown Pullman.

From Boise
  • Take Interstate 84 west to Pendleton.
  • At Pendleton, take Oregon-Washington highway 11 to Walla Walla.
  • At Walla Walla, get on highway US 12 East; proceed to Dusty.
  • At Dusty, turn right onto highway 26 and continue to Colfax.
  • At Colfax, turn right onto Main St. (highway 195).
  • Continue on highway 195 to Pullman.
  • Turn left at signs to Pullman, and then right on Davis Way (highway 270).
  • Follow Davis Way until it intersects with N. Grand Ave. in downtown Pullman.

From Walla Walla
  • Take highway US 12 East to Dusty.
  • At Dusty, turn right onto highway 26 and continue to Colfax.
  • At Colfax, turn right onto Main St. (highway 195).
  • Continue on highway 195 to Pullman.
  • Turn left at signs to Pullman, and then right on Davis Way (highway 270).
  • Follow Davis Way until it intersects with N. Grand Ave. in downtown Pullman.

From Spokane
  • Take Interstate 90 to Colfax/Pullman exit (#279).
  • Take the Pullman/Colfax exit (#279) to highway 195.
  • Take highway 195 south through Colfax to Pullman.
  • Turn left at signs to Pullman, and then right on Davis Way (highway 270).
  • Follow Davis Way until it intersects with N. Grand Ave. in downtown Pullman.

From Missoula
  • Take Interstate 90 west to Spokane.
  • Take the Pullman/Colfax exit (#279) to highway 195.
  • Take highway 195 south through Colfax to Pullman.
  • Turn left at signs to Pullman, and then right on Davis Way (highway 270).
  • Follow Davis Way until it intersects with N. Grand Ave. in downtown Pullman.

Getting to the WSU campus from intersection of Davis Way (Highway 270) and Grand Avenue:
  • Turn right on N. Grand; move to left-hand lane.
  • Stay in left lane through the next stoplight (Main and Grand).
  • At the following stoplight, turn left onto Paradise.
  • Follow Paradise as it curves left to join Main St.
  • Proceed through stoplight, travel up Main across bridge.
  • At intersection of Main and Stadium Way, turn left onto Stadium Way.
  • The WSU campus begins here.

Parking:
Visitors are required to purchase a Parking Permit to park on campus. Parking is enforced 24 hours a day, everyday. You can purchase a Parking Permit from our Visitor Center in the Cougar Depot located near the corner of Davis Way and Grand Avenue in Pullman between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., or at Parking Services, 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The cost of a daily Visitor Permit is $2.50, plus tax. After 5:00 p.m. some Parking Zones do not require permits. Those zones are: Orange 2, Green 1 and 2, Yellow 1, 2, and 3, Red 1 and 2, and Blue. Areas which are ticketed 24 hours a day include, Service Access Spaces, Disabled Parking Spaces, Fire Zones, and the Gray 1 and 2 Parking Zones. You can recognize these areas by the signs that say: "Permits Required At All Times."

If your vehicle becomes disabled, call our office to have your name added to the Disabled Log.

Central Campus Parking is available 24 hours a day in the New Library Garage. The New Library Garage is located under the New Library in the middle of campus. To access the tunnel to the garage, turn off Stadium Way onto Colorado Street, just past the Gyms, is the Tunnel Entrance on the left. The garage is available 24 hours a day on a payment-basis, a Parking Permit is not required. The payment boxes are located on each floor by the elevators. You pay for the space you park in for the time you wish to park.
